About the Job
POSITION OVERVIEW Warehouse Workers are the maintainers of company
product. This means performing shipping and receiving functions as well
as taking inventory of products each night. Care when handling product
and accuracy when completing paperwork are essential to proper
performance of warehouse duties. Warehouse Workers must be willing to
take direction but must also take initiative to address issues or tasks
as they arise. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Ability to lift 60 pound and
push/pull 250 pounds - Ability to bend, reach, stretch and lift in all
directions - Ability to work for prolonged periods of time in a
refrigerated environment to temperatures as low as 20 below zero -
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen SKILLS
REQUIREMENTS - Basic reading, writing, and math skills - Understanding
of Microsoft Office and Inventory Management Software - Ability to use a
pallet jack and mechanical lift - Ability to communicate well with
customers and co-workers - Possess a Class D driver's license and the
ability to drive a standard shift vehicle - Minimum of 1-3 years
relevant experience required RESPONSIBILITIES - Arrive prepared for work
when scheduled - Ability to open the Warehouse multiple times per week
and when needed - Maintain cleanliness of the entire warehouse and
grounds - Properly complete paperwork (confirmation sheets, inventories,
receiving documents, etc.) - Keep stock organized and properly rotated -
Assist drives with unloading of trucks - Set up and load all Load Sheets
and orders with 100% accuracy - Secure trucks and warehouse at end of
shift - Any tasks that arise during shift - Any and all tasks assigned
by management - This list constitutes the bare minimum of duties a
warehouse worker will be asked to perform during the course of his/her
shift. Many tasks will be assigned as needed. SHIFT/HOURS 12:30pm-9:00pm
PAY DETAILS: Commensurate with experience CUSTOMER SERVICE STANDARD
Warehouse workers have limited direct contact with the company's
customers, but good customer service skills are still essential. The
warehouse workers customers include: the drivers whose trucks they load,
the office staff who send customers to the warehouse for orders, and
management who uses information provided by warehouse workers to place
orders and maintain inventories. Warehouse workers are expected to treat
everyone in the company not only as their co-workers, but also as much
needed customers
