Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
Shift Time: 5:30 am - 5:30 pm (end time may vary with volume of work)
Compensation: $18.00/hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Work in conjunction with Dispatchers and Loaders to ensure the correct trucks are moved to designated cooler dock and dry dock.
- Ensure all reefer units are at correct temperatures for freezer and cooler before loading.
- Follow all truck staging procedures to ensure all trucks are correctly staged.
- Record temperatures for cooler and freezer before loading on the cooler dock, dry dock, and after loading is completed to ensure all product is at the correct temperature.
- Communicate all truck and reefer unit issues to the Dispatcher.
- Cultivate strong relationships with Dispatchers and Loaders to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes.
- Consistently work at a fast pace while maintaining safe working habits
- Demonstrate proper body mechanics when performing physical labor that requires constant moving and frequent lifting, pushing and pulling of items up to 55 lbs throughout duration of shift (12 hours+)
- Operate powered equipment including walkie-rider pallet jacks, and possibly reach trucks, cherry pickers, etc.
- Work in an environment with varying temperatures
- Perform cleaning functions to maintain sanitation, health and safety standards
- Perform the duties listed in ALL weather conditions
Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - High school diploma/GED required
- Valid driver's license
- Solid MVR, no serious violations in past 3 years
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and holidays.
- Strong knowledge of CBW loading procedures.
- Strong knowledge of CBW reefer unit usage and procedures.
- Able to work productively and independently
- Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations.
- Ability to obtain CDL
