Multi-Craft is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor. The warehouse supervisor is responsible for the support of field crews and service operations by the ordering, transportation and delivery of materials and equipment personally or through warehouse employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for tracking and or processing inventory stock, and job material requisitions for billing purposes.
- Responsible for performing and recording daily inspections of delivery vehicles personally or through warehouse employees.
- Responsible for reporting warehouse inventory requirements to Service Resource Manager per Company procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining equipment fueling personally or through warehouse employees.
- Responsible for maintaining the warehouse facility(s) building and grounds personally or through warehouse employees.
- Responsible for communicating E.T.A. on parts ordered for Technicians to the Technician and Dispatcher.
- Responsible to support the Technicians for coordinating and expediting shipping and receiving of all parts orders according to Company purchase orders procedures.
- Responsible to support the Technicians for maintaining control and tracking of warehouse and jobsite materials stock, and truck inventories.
- Responsible to support the Technicians for maintaining refrigerant usage and recovery information per EPA requirements.
- Responsible for effective communication with technicians or other trade labor and to relay inventory support concerns to the Service Resource Manager.
- Responsible for providing feedback to the Service Resource Manager regarding cost saving opportunities and customer issues.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of Company’s inventory delivery procedures, Company’s inventory tracking procedures, and Warehouse industry trends.
- Responsible for working closely with other departments to ensure the proper transfer of all warehouse business data required for payroll, billing, accounts payable and human resource management functions.
- Responsible for complying with Company standards of conduct and appearance so as to reflect positively on Company image.
- Responsible for refrigerant program, recovery and evacuation of recovery drums, disposal of old refrigerant cylinders and coordinating the transfer to the reclamation facility personally or through warehouse employees by E.P.A. guidelines.
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery in the performance of these essential duties
- Work with and around hazardous materials, as well as at heights and in confined spaces in the performance of these essential duties
- Drive a vehicle to various jobsites throughout working hours a. Maintain valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company policy
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for employee job performance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Exposure to varying outdoor conditions, loud noise, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, varying fumes or odors; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; and work in ditches/excavations
- Work at heights, such as by working on ladders, scaffolds, platforms, tops of single and multi-story buildings, as well as working in confined spaces such as underneath single story and multi-story buildings
- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
- Must be able to perform manual and repetitive tasks and body movements including standing and/or walking for long periods of time, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying
- Must be able to complete job duties proficiently while adapting to changing demands and priorities
- Must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time to perform duties in a safe manner
- This position is subject to ergonomic testing
SAFETY SENSITIVE:
This position is designated as a safety sensitive position because it includes as part of the job duties operating a motor vehicle, the operating, maintaining, and monitoring of heavy equipment and machinery, and working with and around hazardous materials, at heights, and in confined spaces. This position is one in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death. For the safety of the employee and others, the employee must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time while operating a motor vehicle, operating, maintaining, and monitoring heavy equipment and machinery, and while working with and around hazardous materials, at heights, and in confined spaces.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Two to five years of warehouse experience preferred
- Knowledge of commercial delivery and inventory control procedures.
- Must be certified and be able to perform refrigerant recovery and reclamation from refrigeration systems per EPA regulations.
- Understand the inventory/parts requisition, recording and reporting procedures.
- Understand the basic inventory support delivery procedures.
- Must understand how the inventory control function impacts profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Must have excellent organizational skills for planning and coordinating the various inventory and delivery tasking functions.
- Must have a broad knowledge of the HVACR industry parts, equipment, trade names and E.P.A. guidelines.
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients and other employees.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to complete daily tasks with limited supervision and minimal errors requiring re-work.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and non-standard schedule: nights, weekends and holidays as/if required.
- A current valid driver’s license is required.
