Duties & Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Supervisor will play a key role in managing and optimizing our warehouse operations while ensuring a safe and efficient workplace. This role develops and implements standard operating procedures, ensures inventory best practices, and efficient flow of activities and proper staffing.
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, organizing staff schedules and ensuring proper staffing for all shifts.
- Recruit and train new warehouse employees, conducting timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Manage employee discipline and terminations in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments for efficient warehouse operations.
- Generate required management reports and execute maintenance activities as needed.
- Research, identify, and present ideas to enhance warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, both federal and company-specific, fostering a safety culture.
- Familiarity with DOT requirements for drivers and equipment operators.
- Ensure staff is appropriately trained for their roles and assist in developing standard operating procedures.
- Maintain compliance with inventory and cycle count best practices.
- Provide recommendations and establish standards for warehouse and logistics equipment.
- Identify, develop, and implement continual improvement initiatives.
- Respond to facility-related requests and oversee safety checklists.
- Oversee warehouse staff to ensure excellent housekeeping conditions.
- Assist with warehousing and tooling activities, including material receipt, stocking, loading/unloading, and inventory.
- Customer visits as needed to receive feedback on what the customer needs are.
- Operate heavy machinery, including Rough Terrain Forklifts and Forklifts.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in business administration or related field preferred, or equivalent operations/warehouse/transportation experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate your team.
- Proficient with a computer and able to utilize email and inventory programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a diverse team.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.
