Job Description:
Provide hands on leadership throughout the warehouse operation by training, monitoring, and evaluating assigned personnel. Actively lead the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures the appropriate use of safety devices and equipment while maintaining a constant vigilance for hazardous conditions and practices.
- Establishes and maintains an efficient plan for storage of all raw materials and finished goods.
- Creates and maintains a raw material and finished goods staging area in front of production lines to ensure efficient flow and accuracy of materials.
- Creates high standards for cleanliness and housekeeping.
- Tracks and maintains appropriate record-keeping and systems to ensure the accuracy of inventory.
- Ensures the quality and accuracy of product shipped to customers.
- Develops and assists in the training and maintaining of an efficient work force in accordance with job requirements, work levels and schedules.
- Meets with Purchasing and Production and coordinates the amount and timing of incoming materials so as to minimize inventory, while ensuring availability of material for production
- Ensures accuracy of incoming material weights and works with Quality to ensure incoming material is of the quality expected as indicated by the Purchase Order
- Ensures timing and accurate notification of any rejected or downgraded materials.
- Establishes processes to ensure accurate and timely issuance of materials to work orders and confirmations of production on a daily basis.
- Serves as the primary in-house resource for all questions / processes related to SAP.

- Accuracy of inventory and inventory management Assigned personnel are trained so as to use SAP accurately and consistently.
- Assigned personnel are trained in safe and efficient use of material handling equipment, as well as charging and watering procedures to ensure maximization of battery charge/life.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma; college degree or equivalent related work experience.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a warehouse or production environment.
- Experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment which operates using SAP.
- Experience operating power industrial equipment: Reach truck/Order selector.
