Job Overview:The incumbent receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.
Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities:Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Verifies materials or merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
- Routes materials to prescribed storage locations.
- Stores, stacks, or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.
- Examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage.
- Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment.
- May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
- Performs other related work as assigned.
Mandatory:
- High school graduate or equivalent GED.
- At least two (2) years of experience in the field of logistics, supply and/or warehouse experience performing similar work tasks.
- At least two (2) years of experience operating all types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to obtain prior to commencing work and maintain the required intelligence community level clearance.
- Familiarity with record filling and property inventory.
- Demonstrate competence with any of the following, i.e. pallet jacks, forklifts to 25K# capacity, Reach Trucks, Stackers, Pickers, tank skates, come long machines, stair climbers, and Roller Lifts.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Mature judgment and ability to perform assigned work tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to pass a pre-hire background and drug screen.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or team lift of 75 pounds.
