- With the direction of government oversight, receive, store, select, and ship medical and non-medical supplies and equipment. Load and unload materials, check, assemble, and process documents, and route materials and equipment to correct locations or customers.
- With the direction of government oversight, processes shipments of materiel by verifying correct item received and utilizing automated systems. With the direction of government oversight, verify that shipment is routed to appropriate end user. With the direction of government oversight properly identify, processes and routes sensitive Class VIII materiel to include controlled substances, flammable, corrosive, and temperature sensitive medical products (TSMP) in timely manner according to manufacturer shipping instructions and hospital policies.
- With the direction of government oversight, re-warehouse, locate, access, load and move material for distribution and assist in verifying or prepare documents either manually or by using automated equipment such as computer terminals and handheld terminals to read, store, track, and prepare material documentation.
- With the direction of government oversight, layout storage space, establishes item locations, determine organization and arrangement of stock, and identify high and low usage items according to organization regulations and procedures.
- Use government automated systems (e.g., computer terminals, bar code wands and laser scanners) to read, store, inquire, route, track and verify data.
- Shall be able to stand on hard surfaces for extended period of item; bend, stoop, and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions; lift and carry items that weigh up to 40 pounds; and maneuver push or slide items for proper positioning. Heavier items are moved with weight handling equipment or with assistance e from other workers.
- With the direction of government oversight, perform location surveys and row maintenance to reconcile inventory locations with automated system. Rotates stock to prevent loss of inventory and prepares placards with barcode labels as required. Remove expired or incorrect product from the shelf.
- As per guidance of government oversight, coordinate with Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QA/QC) personnel for proper stratification and destruction. Report to government officials all personnel not assigned to the Warehouse and Material Management into and throughout controlled area.
- As per guidance of government oversight, performs Quality Control checks on inventory pulled from stock to ensure inventory accuracy is in accordance with MEDCOM standard
- Attend and successfully complete all mandatory government unique training in accordance with hospital policy. Exception with be accepted due to scheduled sick or annual leave but must be rescheduled and attend the next scheduled training time.
- Complete and submit all automated DMHRSi manpower hour submissions as directed to reflect actual hours worked while employed by the facility for approval by the authorized government representative. Submission must be completed by close of business on the second Wednesday of each government pay period. If on approved paid time off, must submit prior to scheduled leave to meet manpower hour submission prior to the second Wednesday of each government pay period.
- Provide overall Logistics support to supported activities and be able to operate government vehicles and forklift.
QUALIFICTIONS:
- Must possess at least a high school diploma or GED and meet the following minimum skills: Must be able to operate computers and be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.
- Must have at least one year experience in logistic operations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance for access to Government Automated System.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license to operate government owned forklift. Training will be provided by Government at no cost to contractor.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license class “C” and have vehicle liability insurance as required by the state of Texas.
- Must be able to operate utilize carts, motorized carts, and pallet jacks.
DELIVERABLES:
- Ensure that packages are tracked and processed in the system. Obtain signatures utilizing the tracking system of all personnel picking up packages.
- Accurate processing of sensitive Class VIII materiel 99% of the time. Mishandling of products provides risk and financial loss to the government.
- Track packages utilizing standard procedures and appropriate tracking system.
- Accurately pull, pack and issue medical material, with an overall accuracy of 95% in accordance with Medical Command standards.
