Warehouse / Shipping Associate

Hours: Mon - Fri, First Shift

Location: Decatur

PrideStaff is working with a well-established business in the Decatur area that is looking for an experienced Warehouse / Shipping Associate to help manage the daily movement of materials and finished products within the warehouse. The environment can be fast-paced, so the ability to efficiently load and unload trucks while accurately processing paperwork is essential for success. Take part in making sure orders are correct for our larger accounts that includes international and domestic customers. 

Responsibilities:

• Pull and stage batches of material for processing 
• Safely operate sit-down forklift
• Update inventory when removing and returning items after processing by documenting the locations and weights of the raw materials
• Report packaging supplies movement and deliveries to inventory coordinator
• Pick items from warehouse bins by following picking orders
• Ensure that all work areas are clean and maintained at all times
• Communicate with other departments

Requirements:

• Forklift experience
• Good communication skills (written and oral)
• Excellent math skills
• Ability to operate basic computers and handheld devices
• Shipping experience
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects and deadlines
• Ability to work with others as a team
• Ability to stand/walk, push, pull, squat, bend and reach over a 10-hour shift
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment
• Must be able to speak and read English
• Ability to manage small projects personally and work independently
• Must be able to move heavy weight and able to pick up 60lbs and maneuver up to 500 pound drums safely
   

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $18.00 Per Hour
