Role Overview
The Warehouse Operator Level II plays an integral role in managing inventory and executing warehouse operations to ensure the efficient distribution of diplomatic supplies and alcohol. This position emphasises operational excellence, compliance with regulations, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Main Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations Management:
Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
Monitor and ensure the accurate picking, packing, and staging of products for shipment.
Oversee inventory control procedures, ensuring stock accuracy and timely replenishment.
Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols in compliance with company standards and legal regulations.
• Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, motivate, and supervise warehouse staff.
Train new employees in warehouse operations, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions when needed.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce operational costs, and improve workflow efficiency.
Implement Lean or other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize warehouse functions.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report performance to senior management.
• Inventory and Stock Management:
Oversee inventory cycle counts and ensure stock is accurately tracked.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory.
Ensure that products are stored in a safe and organized manner.
• Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding warehouse operations.
Enforce safety standards and conduct regular safety audits.
Address and resolve any safety or operational hazards promptly.
• Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the customer service, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Communicate regularly with the Warehouse Manager and other departments to ensure seamless coordination.
Resolve any operational issues or delays that arise within the warehouse.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
• Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Experience with warehouse management and inventory control practices.
• Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery (certification may be required).
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in warehouse environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent.
• Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Compensation
- $50,000 Annual Salary
Work Schedule
- Full-time positions with scheduled hours including evenings and weekends as required.
- Some Overtime may be required, with advanced notice.
- Standard shifts operate Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
- Work is typically performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and physical demands.
