All that you need is:
- 5+ years in a warehouse environment
- 2+ years in a leadership position
- Experience being a hands-on and proactive leader
- Ability to deliver effective and timely feedback
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
- Fluency in Microsoft 365 suite and/or Google Workspace software
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), multi-carrier shipping software, and other relevant software
- Deep understanding of parcel and LTL shipping
- Forklift operation license
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and guidelines
- Experience with EOS/Traction
- Advanced knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AS OUR WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER?
As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you oversee a small team and manage daily activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. Your focus is optimizing order picking and packing to reduce shipping costs and enhance team efficiency. You develop and enforce processes for receiving, storing, and distributing products, ensuring adherence to best practices. You continually identify areas for improvement in product flow and space utilization, providing necessary staff training. Additionally, you maintain inventory accuracy, balance stock levels, enforce safety regulations, and address potential hazards. Regularly reviewing the warehouse layout, you aim for optimal performance, explore new technologies, and set performance and compliance goals for the management team.
