Warehouse Mechanic Supervisor - Baldor Specialty Foods

           Position Description 

Position Title:             Shop Supervisor 3rd Shift

Department:               Shop

Reports to:                  Shop Manager / Facilities Manager

Supervises directly:     Yes -3rd Shift Shop Staff

Indirectly:                  None

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the day to day supervision of shop operations on the 3rd Shift involving shop equipment repair and maintenance of the facility. Adhering to all Baldor procedures and policies, Food safety SQF & personnel safety procedures, programs and policies.

• Must be able to bend & kneel
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must able to work in a cold environment.
• Must be presentable at all times
• Ability communicate clearly  
• Must be organized

* Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Schedule depends on required days to work (start time 9:00PM – 6:00AM)

Extra day(s) as required (start time to be determined)

Duties-

To effectively consummate all functions of the Light Duty shop maintenance functions in Baldor New York

a)     Implement, maintain, schedule and oversee the administration of workforce planning, workflow and process management

b)    Ensure fleet of Hi Lo’s, pallet jacks and other equipment are performing at optimal level.

c)     Ensure all Baldor safety policies and programs are adhered to

d)    Act as a primary interface with the 3rd shift Director & General Manager

e)     Manage shop maintenance activities to ensure work quality standards are met and efficiencies are maintained

f)     Ensure completion and accuracy of shop paperwork is completed daily

g)    Report daily to Shop manager/Facilities Manager on any issue’s in the maintenance shop & Facility

h)     Assist in recruiting, interviewing and hiring process

i)      Assist in development and delivery of annual performance reviews and provide overall ongoing feedback to improve morale and performance

j)      Develop and mentor shop employees

Qualifications:

            Education: High School or equivalent
