Warehouse Material Handlers should have experience operating stand-up reach forklifts and possess a valid forklift certification. Additionally, they must be able to read and understand written instructions, as well as adhere to all safety policies and procedures. The role also requires the use of barcode scanners on forklifts to efficiently complete tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and process customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform quality checks to ensure package contents match customer order documentation.
- Coordinate materials receiving, supply, and movement, including stock identification, loading and unloading, storage, and transfer.
- Label new inventory items and assign appropriate warehouse bin locations.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including physical and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring storage areas are neat, orderly, and comply with safety regulations.
- Operate stand-up reach forklifts and barcode scanners to complete warehouse tasks efficiently.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe work environment for all team members.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Stand-up Reach Truck Operator certification required.
- At least 2 years of experience in warehouse and materials handling, inventory management, and forklift/power equipment operation.
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to operate barcode scanners for planning and job release systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math skills on the fly.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High-energy, self-starter, comfortable working with little or no administrative support.
- Good work ethics and a strong desire to succeed.
- Overtime may be required.
