The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving material from the receiving area to storage area or other assigned locations as well as assembles guest's orders for stock, shipping or palletizing and reviews inventory for processing. Safely transports items through warehouse to and from off site locations.
Responsibilities:
Counts, sorts, and store perishable items, verify and records items for distribution to ensure accurate inventory levels that comply with company standards.
Reads manifest and prepares parcels for mailing, shipping orders or requisitions to determined item(s) to be moved, stored of distributed.
Enter records in computer programs.
Sorts items and places them on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined assignment and assembles shop location orders for stock and places them on pallets and driven on vehicles to locations within the park and off-site locations.
Use a variety of MHE including Forklift, Raymond Swing Reach, Manual and Electric Pallet Jacks.
Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving he guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions.
Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Meets Cedar Fairs attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fairs attendance policies.
Qualifications:
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to work in cooler and freezer pick locations.
Ability to use a variety of heavy equipment, Forklift, Raymond Swing Reach, Manual and Electric Pallet Jacks.
Ability to work effectively and achieve department goals under time constraints and quality pressures.
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
Ability to work, nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
