About the Job
As the Warehouse Manager, you will play a vital role in the success of our distribution operations. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse facility, ensuring the efficient flow of goods and materials, and meeting our client's service level expectations. This position requires a strong background in distribution operations and the ability to lead a team of dedicated staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Lead and manage all warehouse operations, ensuring the highest level of efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Inventory Control: Implement and maintain effective inventory management processes to reduce errors and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control and quality assurance measures to meet customer standards.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety training, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
- KPI Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational goals are met.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment to ensure operational reliability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure full compliance within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in warehouse and distribution management within the logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario, CA's logistics and distribution landscape.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to implement best practices and improve operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software and systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
