About the Job
The role of the Warehouse Manager is to oversee the flow of materials from receipt to dispatch. Role will work closely with the Supply Chain, Production, and Sales to ensure the required materials are available for customer requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage Goods-In Process
- Oversee receiving personnel and all incoming materials.
- Manage the dock to stock process for all inbound materials.
- Ensure all goods are quality inspected upon receipt.
- Oversee the process for stocking parts to ensure all items are properly stored and marked with critical information.
- Ensure all parts are stored and stocked neatly.
Inventory / Warehouse Management
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Oversee the pulling of parts for jobs according to work order picking requirements.
- Manage the cycle counts and correct inventory variances in real time.
- Oversee the consolidation of like parts within the warehouse.
- Work alongside Supply Chain Manager to prep for annual physical inventory and any random audit counts requested.
- Promote FIFO and rotate stocks to consume oldest stocks first.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and parts.
- Maintain the facility fleet of forklifts and other equipment required for manufacture.
- Communicate potential outages and points of exposure to procurement and/or management team in a timely manner to avoid production stoppage.
- Manage the MRO (materials required for operating) and issue to the production team as required.
Manage Goods-Out Process
Evaluate annual logistics cost and leverage total volume to obtain the best price for outbound LTL shipments and parcels.
- Manage the packaging process for outbound orders to reduce damage and shrink.
- Manage logistics operations.
- Work with the Assembly Manager to ensure all assembled parts are put into their stock locations upon completion.
- Other duties to be assigned to support SFE Group business success.
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in Inventory Management, Manufacturing, and scheduling.
- High Management skills, Manage a Team of 10 people and 65,000sqft warehouse
- College degree or equivalent preferred work experience of 10+ years in manufacturing and Warehouse
- Ability to work in non-climate control warehouse.
- Physical Requirements: Lifting, driving forklifts, and organizational skills
- High Level of organizational skills
- General knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Experience using ERP systems
- Experience with Microsoft Windows software required.
- Able to work and Manage a Diverse workforce.
- Capable of generating and delivering Monthly KPI Report to Management
