Job Description
The Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor will work onsite at one of our premier customer locations. Responsibilities will include the highest level of customer service.
- Supervise the shipping and receiving area, and the management of personnel
- Coordinate, facilitate and monitor shipping and receiving activities to ensure parts and equipment are transported, packed and delivered using cost efficient and timely methods for both domestic and international destinations
- Supervise the physical shipment and receipt, packaging and handling, control, timely reporting of materials and equipment shipped/received, identification of materials and delivery of stock locations
- Work closely with designated warehouse and freight forwarding companies to facilitate domestic and international crating and shipment requests
- Generate monthly reports indicating part and equipment movement and metrics ensuring the team is achieving all KPI’s
- Work closely with on-site customer teams to understand and communicate effectively
- Including planning, coordinating, and directing the shipment, receipt, storage, physical movement and flow of equipment and parts globally
- Read and interpret drawings and part lists to ensure the correct receipt and distribution of parts
- Maintain traceability of all components and equipment
- Review existing logistic work processes and practices to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate issues and opportunities through defined escalation processes ensuring harmonious relationship
Experience
The candidate should have previous management and supervisory experience with a focus on customer service and warehouse oversight.
- 3-7 years inventory management experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to foster a positive team working environment and take accountability
- Drive to provide exceptional customer service
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of inventory software solutions
- Ability to read and interpret material/machine part drawings a must
- Previous work experience with machine parts/tools
The use of a forklift and power lift may be required. Certification for use of these items may be required and the ability to promote and create a safe work environment is a must.
