PACE Supply is excited to announce an opportunity for a Warehouse Lead at our brand-new branch in Van Nuys, CA. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced leader to help manage and optimize our warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring on-time deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving the success of your team. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will guide a team of warehouse associates and forklift operators to achieve efficiency, safety, and productivity.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing shipping and receiving schedules, ensuring inventory is accurately tracked, and leading initiatives that improve warehouse workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with other team leaders and departments to maintain a smooth and organized operation. - Provide expertise in warehouse systems, processes, and procedures; train and supervise warehouse associates and forklift operators.
- Manage shipping and receiving schedules to achieve 99.9% on-time delivery, optimizing resources and inventory flow.
- Oversee order picking, receiving operations, product placement, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure all incoming products meet quality standards and prepare materials for delivery or pick-up.
- Demonstrate proficiency in warehouse functions, including receiving, shipping, barcode creation, and scheduling.
- Lead, motivate, and coach team members to maintain productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Foster a positive work culture through effective communication and team huddles focused on safety and improvements.
- Supervise unloading, stocking, and shipping of inbound and outbound orders, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety standards, and the security of associates and equipment.
- Operate and maintain equipment, including Cherry Pickers and electric pallet jacks, ensuring proper use and storage.
- Ensure effective use of warehouse space and completion of cycle counts to maintain inventory integrity.
- Handle all aspects of inventory movement of materials, including stocking, re-stocking, and accounting for every item in the warehouse.
- Compile and maintain records of the quantity, type, and value of the inventory on hand.
- Participate in monthly and year-end inventory cycle counts, and address inventory reconciliation issues.
- Coordinate inventory requirements and procurement details with the Warehouse Manager, vendors, and customers.
- Track the transportation and distribution of material inventory.
- Oversee the records of all stocks and compile evaluation reports.
- Conduct daily auditing of inventory.
- Account for and report inventory surplus, product returns, and damages.
- Replenish stock in the warehouse and manage the filling of order forms.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred. Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify.
- A strong background in Warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is required.
- 3 years of warehouse management.
- 2 years supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Great communication skills and the ability and desire to lead a team.
- Proven leadership experience in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Work Environment
Physical Requirements:
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
- Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Environmental Conditions:
- The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
