Warehouse Lead / Delivery Driver - Gpac

Position/Title: Logistics/Shipping & Receiving - Includes Delivery Driver & Warehouse Space

Reports to: Production Supervisor

General Description:

Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service. Operates a truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations. Loads, secures, verifies, and unloads cargo. Responsible for lifting upwards towards 50 pounds consistently through the day and in excess over 50 pounds on occasion. Maintains telephone contact with the production manager and logistics to receive instructions for scheduled delivery or pick up. Maintains logs of travel and cargo. May be responsible for vehicle inspection and maintenance. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Requires applicable truck driver license for state. Able to operate forklift and pallet jack machinery for the loading and unloading of material. May be required to train other employees within the use of the delivery vehicle and other shipping and machinery equipment in the case of absence or for additional help. May be responsible for shipping and receiving machinery inspection and maintenance. Responsible for warehouse maintenance and inspection.

Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability. Receives and unpacks materials and supplies. Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes. Completes shipping and receiving reports.
