About the Job
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Processes orders for perishable and durable goods, receives, stores and issues them to the customer. Performs customer related duties, accepts orders, answers questions, provides product procuremen.
**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Receives and reviews requests for purchase of items for the Biological Supply Center. Verifies, fills in, prepares and documents purchase requests in accordance with standard procedures.
+ Accepts and examines shipments of items and maintains receiving documents and records. Initiates action for payments of items received and/or adjustment of defective items. Labels and stores items according to temperature specifications, notifies customer when items are ready for pick up, if necessary may deliver item to customer.
+ May originate orders and requests for items which fall within a perpetual inventory or other predefined stock system. Takes periodic inventory of stock items, rotates stock as necessary.
+ Performs clerical tasks such as typing, filing, record keeping and periodic reporting.
+ Keeps the area and equipment in good working condition.
Other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Up to 2 years of related post high school education or equivalent required
+ 2 years of related practical experience required.
+ Customer service experience preferred
+ Strong organizationsl skills with good attention to detail required
+ Striong communications skills required
+ Familiarity with computers required
+ Comfortable with data entry required

**Pay Range**
Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.95 Hourly
_The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._
