SUMMARY
- This position is responsible for the security, integrity and accuracy of the company billing and paper flow processes for the scale station, bulk shipment, warehouse/shipping yard management as well as pool yard management. Cross-trained to perform the essential duties of scheduling pickup appointments with customers and carriers as needed.
FUNCTIONS
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
• Knows and observes Plant Safety work procedures and rules, Environmental Practices and GMP guidelines.
• Responsible for processing (scale) package carriers in and out of the plant and managing all controlled documents according to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Includes maintaining shipping security for all carriers in and out of the plant.
• Responsible for processing and managing daily accounting documents for all bulk shipments in and out of the plant according to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Responsible for managing the warehouse shipping/yard activities according to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Includes verification of complete and accurate shipping documents as well as the control of documents for all shipments.
• Responsible for managing the pool yard activities according to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Includes verification of complete and accurate pool documents as well as the control of documents for all material movement. Works closely with the appointment coordinator to meet all customer expectations.
• Responsible for process quality and Safe Quality Food (SQF) program. Perform quality checks at prescribed intervals to insure the best quality products are being shipped. Initiate documentation and provide signature to verify compliance with all required quality & SQF checks for the assigned area.
• Forwards all necessary paperwork to the accounting department as prescribed in the SOPs to ensure SOX compliance.
• Responsible for processing LTL's orders in the system and scheduling sugar pickups. Assigns loading bay numbers according to product location, date and time into the Peoplesoft appointment system.
• Verifies customer order numbers, ship dates, and product availability via Peoplesoft. Updates Peoplesoft to record appointments that are completed or cancelled.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating the driver direction line and information.
• Support and/or participate on cross-functional, department and/or site wide teams.
• Responsible for the cleanliness/Five S of the area assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience
The following are the basic qualifications:
- Minimum one year warehouse billing experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
COMPENSATION
Hourly Rate: $22.84/per hour

Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this Job, the associates are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and extreme heat. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
