Volt is immediately hiring for a Warehouse Clerk Buena Park, California. $19.50 per hour.
As a Warehouse Clerk you will:
- Oversee outbound shipments for Carriers and other warehouse processes and personnel to make sure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.
- Provide training of current and new employees in all appropriate procedures and processes required to complete work assignments.
- Provide daily work assignments to staff and work with managers and other supervisors to coordinate personnel and resources as necessary to complete all work scheduled for department.
- Assist with the development, revision and enforcement of inventory management and procedures including record keeping, work instructions, ISO procedures, and other standard operational and work practices as necessary.
- Will be working in the shipping warehouse and will be standing 100% of the time during the entire shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned
This is a Full time opportunity
The ideal candidate will:
- Willing to work OT when needed
- Previous experience in Outbound Shipping/Carrier Logistics
- GED or equivalent
- 3 - 5 years of experience in warehouse / receiving
- Working knowledge of computerized inventory control system.
- Must be very good with MS Word, Excel or similar computer software systems.
- Ability to accurately complete arithmetic computations to sufficiently perform duties of the job
- Management skills, ability to tactfully delegate assignments and follow through
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to pursuit continuous improvement
- Bilingual - Spanish (preferred)
- Able to follow directions and comply with OSHA safety regulations
