Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for various tasks involved in the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, be physically fit, and possess a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against the purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Unload, inspect, and properly store incoming goods in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory by performing regular cycle counts and conducting periodic inventory audits.
- Pick, pack, and label products according to customer orders using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Prepare orders for shipping, including proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move goods within the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by keeping shelves, racks, and work areas tidy.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet daily production goals.
- Comply with all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to [insert weight]) and perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Familiarity with operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and valid certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and understanding of safety regulations.
- Flexibility to work in different shifts and extended hours as needed.
