JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Worker assists with warehouse, office, and vehicle maintenance, makes deliveries, and picks up donations, moves product within the warehouse, picks up and works with volunteers, and understands warehouse receiving procedures, drives trucks and forklifts, and uses a personal or SHFB vehicle to complete tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Delivers orders to agencies, operating SHFB vehicles. ? Understands and helps to implement all receiving, receipting, and distribution requirements and procedures recommended by Feeding America and the United States and/or Pennsylvania Departments of Agriculture. ? Keeps vehicle records as required. ? Picks up donations locally and outside Lehigh Valley. ? Operates warehouse equipment (forklift, electric pallet truck. etc.) ? Reports needed equipment and vehicle repairs to the Operations Manager. ? Unloads incoming trailers. ? Performs warehouse/grounds maintenance work as directed by supervisor. ? Assists with physical inventory, labeling and slotting. ? Processes member agency orders using the computer system. ? Prepares and pulls orders for member agencies and keeps appropriate records. ? Assists with sorting of donated product. ? Performs other duties as assigned.
