The position is responsible for all overall refurbishing of cylinders, including but not limited to testing cylinders, blasting and painting cylinders. rn rnWhy A-Gas? rn rnThis direct hire position offers competitive pay starting at $17.00 and beyond, contingent upon the candidate's skills, educational background, and prior work experience. Additionally, we provide training programs and certifications that contribute to the continuous development of your skill set and can positively impact your hourly rate as you advance in your journey with the company.rn rnA-Gas offers generous benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, paid time off (PTO), a 401(k), company-paid short-term & long-term disability, life insurance, training initiatives, professional certifications, and a tuition reimbursement program. rnKeeping Safety top of mind: A-Gas provides all required PPE offering a yearly boot allowance, gloves, glasses, and company provided uniforms. rn rnShift Work Expectations rnrn6 AM to 2:30 PMrnMonday - Friday rnrn rnKey ResponsibilitiesrnrnOperate equipment to test, blast, band, paint cylinders utilizing water based paint and certifying cylinders when needed rnEnsures that processed product meets established regulatory, customer and A-Gas internal requirements and specifications rnFollows quality protocol concerning required documentation of verifications and the documentation, notification and handling of nonconformitiesrnInspects and examines cylinders for defects, dents and cracksrnUnderstands hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanksrnrn rnExperience, Knowledge, and QualificationrnrnHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; Process Technician Experience or associate degree preferred rnDOT certification required and/or must be obtained within 1 yearrnForklift, overhead crane and clamp operation experience required or ability to become certified within 60 daysrnStrong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand tools rnFunctional computer skills requiredrnrnPhysical Demand Requirements:    rnrnFrequently pushes, pulls, moves and/or lifts up to 50 pounds independentlyrnFrequently operates a computer using a traditional keyboard to input detailed information such as serial numbersrnManipulations (seizing, holding, grasping or otherwise working with hands) up to 50-75% of the dayrnConstantly works in environments with uncontrolled climate and some exposure to outdoor weather conditionsrnrn rnWe are an equal-opportunity employer.
