Job Summary
The technologist isto efficiently operate diagnostic imaging equipment in a professional mannerfor medical diagnosis and treatment. This responsibility includes qualitytreatment to our patients. This also includes producing qualityradiographs of designated portions of the human body, maintain accurate recordsof the radiographs, and being ever mindful of confidentiality, distributereports of the examination findings to the patient's provider. Thetechnologist is also responsible for communication with radiologists,physicians, patients, patient's families and other persons; and for performingrelief and/or other project duties.

Required Education and Experience
Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology (24months).
At least 1 year of mammography experience, required
Experience with 3D mammography, preferred
Required Licenses, Certificationsand/or Registrations
1.Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists oran equivalent registry in Mammography. (With limit of one year from date ofemployment to acquire ARRT registration.)
2.Licensed by the Washington State Department of Health
3.RTRM certification
4.BLS required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
1.Comprehensive working knowledge of mammographyequipment and how to properly care for this equipment. Ability to operateequipment according to established health and safety regulations following allpolicies, procedural guidelines and regulations.
2.Working knowledge of all basic and special DIprocedures performed at Summit Pacific Medical Center (SPMC). Demonstrated ability to adapt exam to addressproblems of patient care as they arise and make timely and effective decisionsto appropriately resolve problems.
3.Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to applyage specific principles of growth and development, and life stages to meet eachpatients need
4.Proficient in the use of current technology,including Microsoft Office products. Ability to learn and effectively operatevarious computers and software programs, including PACS/RIS.
5.Professional and effective written and verbalcommunication skills. Ability to identify and employ communication strategiesappropriate to the audience.
6.Ability to cultivate effective partnershipsand work in collaboration with providers, other health care professionals,managers, and patients.
7.Strong organizational and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and display flexibility in afast paced and changing work environment.
8.Ability to work with basic office equipmentsuch as telephones, copier, facsimiles, computers, etc.
9.Ability to work on-call shifts as assigned.
