Description
Job Summary: As a Vulnerability Management Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities in our systems and networks You will work closely with various teams to enhance our security posture and protect our assets from potential threats
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and scans on systems, networks, and applications
- Analyze scan results to identify vulnerabilities and potential risks
- Assist in the prioritization of vulnerabilities based on risk and impact
- Work with IT and development teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities
- Track and report on the status of vulnerability remediation efforts
- Stay current with the latest vulnerabilities, exploits, and security trends
- Participate in security assessments and audits as required
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Basic understanding of common vulnerabilities and exposure (CVE) databases, Exploit Prediction Scoring System (EPSS), MITRE Telecommunication&CK framework, OWASP Top 10, vulnerability scanning tools, and remediation techniques
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and networking fundamentals
- Working knowledge of cloud environments (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Working knowledge of data aggregation platforms such as Splunk
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
Preferred Qualifications:
- Having one or more certifications such as CompTIA Security, CompTIA CySA, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar is a plus
- Working knowledge of vulnerability management tools (eg, Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7)Knowledge of scripting languages (eg, Python, PowerShell) for automation purposes
