As the Vice President of Solutions, you will drive revenue growth by selling existing and prospective clients the “product”: cohorts of custom-trained, work-ready junior SCM technology and functional talent, which will be deployed with clients on a contract-to-hire, managed services or consulting project delivery basis. This role requires a strategic, consultative sales professional who can speak to clients as a peer and advisor. Collaborating closely with our executive team, sales team and our Product Owner, you will oversee and manage all efforts to expand our sales with our platform partners and clients, specifically in the major platforms we are partnered with or look to partner with in the future. You will work closely with companies in various industries to understand their talent needs and demonstrate how our outsourced apprenticeship model can help them build effective, sustainable teams.
This role has a dual reporting relationship, reporting to Sales Department with a dotted line to the Product Owner.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The specific tasks, duties, and responsibilities that a team member in this position is expected to complete regularly to be successful at RiseNow.
- Identify and Qualify Opportunities: Proactively identify, and engage with executive-level contacts at current and prospective clients. Cultivate leads and qualify new business opportunities in alignment with our growth objectives.
- Define our Value Proposition: Clarify the unique value we bring to companies. Differentiate why RiseNow brings the greatest value to the market through our offering.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and developments in workforce training, especially in apprenticeship and staffing models. Use this knowledge to adjust strategies and provide feedback to the product team. Quantify demand signals for skills-based talent tiers (entry-level / mid-level software / experts). Determine industry trends and identify fast-growing sectors.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and prospects, especially with key decision-makers (e.g., CPOs, CFOs, HR executives, hiring managers, and other business leaders).
- Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. Track all sales activities and interactions in CRM software, HubSpot. Executive level status reporting, weekly and monthly.
- Client Education & Engagement: Conduct presentations, demos, and meetings with potential clients to educate them on our apprenticeship program, its benefits, and ROI. Oversee the develop of sales collateral such as pitch decks and one-pagers in partnership with our Demand Gen team.
- Team Education: Work closely with Demand Gen, product development, and customer success teams to refine the value proposition and support client needs post-sale. Ensure rest of sales team is educated on our cohort focus and offerings.
- Executive Collaboration & Culture Championship: Work closely with key executives (CEO, COO, CSO, SVP Growth, our Product Owner) and team members to tap into our strong sales footprint to surface and win our deals, while engaging our people as our champions to unlock wins for the entire business (sales, client success, delivery excellence, culture, etc.)
- Work with Manager to fully complete annual performance development activities and facilitation to support developing knowledge, skills, and experience for current role and/or future role(s).
- Internal Meeting Participation: Attend required company meetings including monthly All Hands & our sessions, as well as any required team/department meetings.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
The skills, certifications, or other ‘qualifications’ a team member needs to currently possess to perform at this job level.
- Minimum of 7 years of enterprise solution sales experience in procurement/supply chain technology, systems integrator, and/or professional services.
- Good understanding of software implementations and professional services specific to procurement/supply chain digital transformation;
- Familiarity with staffing and/or workforce management services, including a strong understanding of talent acquisition, apprenticeship programs, or technical staffing.
- Proven success in consultative selling with the ability to uncover client needs, customize solutions, and articulate value effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and long-term relationships with clients at all levels.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and managing a successful sales pipeline.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and value propositions.
- Experience “in client shoes” as a procurement/SCM business owner who has relied on skilled technical/functional talent to deliver outcomes (e.g. platform implementation and management, SCM workflows) ideal.
