Job Description
The primary purpose of the Vice President of Sales and Marketing is to oversee the overall sales, marketing, advertising, and public relations strategies for Pinnacle Living. The goal of this position will be to develop and implement strategic marketing and sales plans that support the mission and vision of Pinnacle Living, which includes achieving and maintaining high community occupancy, utilization of services, brand recognition, and continual growth for the organization. The position will be responsible for all digital and traditional marketing for Pinnacle Living, including lead-generating activities for the Pinnacle Living portfolio of senior living communities and business segments.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
- A four-year college degree with a concentration in marketing or related field required.
- A Master's degree in Business Administration or Marketing preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a sales and marketing role that is responsible for multiple locations preferred.
- Must have experience marketing in the long-term care /continuing care retirement community setting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a strong background in strategic planning and implementation, marketing strategy development and execution, advertising campaign programming, and successful public relations efforts.
- Must possess experience in making presentations for individuals as well as large groups of people.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES
Develop, execute, and continuously improve upon the short- and long-term strategies for the successful sales of the various communities and business segments to highly satisfied prospective residents, maintaining established occupancy rates and corporate growth trajectory;
Create a high-performance team by providing leadership, including recommendations for hiring, training, developing, and incentivizing outstanding and enthusiastic professionals;
In collaboration with CEO, COO and SVP of Operations, Sales and Marketing, utilize sound business planning practices to identify new growth opportunities;
Communicate new product information to all internal and external stakeholders to produce successful financial performance;
Ensure maintenance of our value proposition through market and competition research with analysis of current and projected future conditions and trends;
Work effectively with internal peer departments and external business partners to ensure appropriate project coordination and to ensure consistency in all stakeholder communications;
Monitor performance and ROI of all sales channels and initiate strategic shifts as needed;
Develop and maintain the Pinnacle Living Sales and Marketing business plan and provides regular reports to SVP of Operations, Sales and Marketing regarding progress against objectives and implementation of corrective measures to achieve goals as needed;
In collaboration with community leadership teams, develop a forecast for annual turnover for budget and marketing planning and develop and continually assess key performance indicators for the marketing departments at each community;
Collaborate with Financial Operations to determine annual price increases and develop financial budgeting and performance metrics and assumes responsibility for attainment of all sales and marketing goals;
Design a sales compensation structure in coordination with COO, CFO and SVP of Operations, Sales and Marketing that promotes desired outcomes, including high levels of performance and retention of key personnel;

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day;
Must be able to sit approximately 50% of the time and to stand approximately 50% of the time;
Must have a currently unencumbered Virginia driver's license and ability to commute between Pinnacle Living Communities as needed;
Must be able to read, write and communicate using the English language.
Exposure to the sights, sounds and smells of a typical healthcare environment, including persons with dementia.
