Job Title: Vice President of Operations
Company Overview: GPAC is partnered with a leading custom steel fabrication shop specializing in miscellaneous metal fabrication. As the Vice President of Operations, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvement to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of operations, including manufacturing, production planning, quality control, and logistics.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce lead times, and improve product quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure efficient production methods and adherence to project specifications.
- Manage production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow to meet customer deadlines and production targets.
- Implement quality control measures and procedures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains, and implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in operations management within the custom steel fabrication or metal manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, develop effective solutions, and drive results.
- Proficiency in project management, process improvement methodologies, and ERP systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
