We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic VP of Operations to join our team. Print Production Manager Responsibilities & Duties
1) Oversee Production Manager and responsible for their performance
2) Oversee all departments and managers in plant
3) Responsible for all manufacturing operations including scheduling, quality control, standards, and material control
4) Makes final decision on plants capability and meeting special schedules
5) Work with Production Manager to establish manpower in each department
6) Study new machinery and better production methods
7) Analyze productivity daily and make corrections
8) Hire, terminate, train, promote
9) Study problem areas of production and make changes
10) Support sales efforts to onboard new accounts
11) Quote jobs and sign off on quotes
12) Review financials and make suggestions
13) Responsible for plant safety, training, & Government compliancy
14) Approve / disapprove overtime
15) Measure waste and implement plans to reduce
16) Communicate clearly with department heads and President/VP
17) Make necessary decisions
18) Be available, quickly respond to salespeople
19) Find ways to make plant more profitable
20) Order all supplies for the shop
21) Check Pricing on all supplies ordered
22) Lead by example
VP of Operations Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in print production or a similar role
- Proficiency with print production software and technologies
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
- Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and schedules
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the print industry
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with digital printing and offset printing techniques
- Bachelor's degree in print production, graphic design, or related field
- 5 years of experience in print production management
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of print production processes, techniques, and equipment
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards
