Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all aspects of professional and general liability litigation, including oversight of claims and alignment with our litigation strategy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and strategic thinking.
- Collaborate closely with claims team managers and the VP of Litigation Strategy to ensure a cohesive approach to litigation management and risk mitigation.
- Utilize data analysis tools to examine litigation trends, identify risk areas, and implement strategic decisions to manage and reduce risk exposure.
- Develop, implement, and refine litigation management policies and procedures, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and align with organizational goals.
- Provide expert legal advice and support to senior management on litigation and risk management issues.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with admission to practice law in at least one state.
- A minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, with significant expertise in healthcare-related litigation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
- Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry and its legal landscape.
