Vice President of Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Vice President of Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting (FP&A) to lead strategic financial initiatives and provide high-level analytical support to the executive team. This pivotal role emphasizes advanced financial modeling, insightful reporting, and operational collaboration to drive informed decision-making. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the VP of FP&A will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the company.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Analysis and Leadership:
- Lead the development and refinement of financial models, long-term forecasts, and projections to guide strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Deliver in-depth analyses of financial performance, variances, and trends, presenting actionable insights to executive leadership and private equity stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to align financial planning with operational strategies and priorities.
Data Analytics and High-Level Insights:
- Harness advanced analytics tools to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets, identifying opportunities for cost efficiency, revenue growth, and performance improvement.
- Develop and oversee comprehensive dashboards and KPIs to provide real-time visibility into the organization's financial and operational health.
- Leverage scenario modeling and predictive analytics to inform strategic decisions and assess business risks.
Executive Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the CFO, executive team, board of directors, and investors.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of all financial reporting processes and outputs.
- Streamline and enhance reporting mechanisms to align with organizational goals and private equity expectations.
Operational Partnership:
- Collaborate closely with operational leaders to understand performance drivers and implement data-driven strategies for improvement.
- Provide financial oversight and analytical support for key initiatives, including cost management, capital investments, and revenue diversification.
- Design and manage daily reporting tools to ensure timely and actionable insights for operational teams.
Strategic Initiatives and Growth Support:
- Lead financial analyses and due diligence for potential business development opportunities, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic growth initiatives.
- Partner with the CFO and executive team on high-impact projects that drive organizational success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- At least 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with significant exposure to private equity-backed organizations and the healthcare sector.
- Expertise in financial modeling, data analytics, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SQL, or Power BI).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to distill complex financial data into actionable strategies.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will oversee the Financial and Reporting Analyst and potentially additional team members as the department grows.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 (commensurate with experience).
