The Role
AXS is seeking a VP of Finance and Financial Reporting to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, internal management reports, and cash forecasts, ensuring accuracy and reliability. You will manage the Global Financial Reporting/Planning team, driving process improvements and ensuring standardized finance processes across all regions. You will also oversee the direct financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for our Global Shared Services and Technology business units. Additionally, you will lead the preparation and review of complex consolidating journal entries and coordinate the annual consolidated external audit process.
What Will You Do?
- Manage the Global Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Planning, and Standardization Group, overseeing team performance, process optimization, and timeline adherence. This includes leading and developing the team, setting performance goals, conducting regular evaluations, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across all financial functions.
- Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, internal management reports, and cash forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. This includes the Consolidating Income Statement, GAAP Financial Statement Package (including the Statement of Cash Flows), and G&A analytics for senior management.
- Lead the preparation and review of complex consolidating journal entries, including noncontrolling interests, equity eliminations, income statement eliminations, and intercompany debt and accrued interest positions.
- Manage the annual consolidated external audit process by preparing and reviewing audit documentation and coordinating interim and year-end audits related to consolidated entities. Liaise with finance leaders across AXS to achieve these objectives.
- Drive all aspects of the budget process and 48-month consolidated projections annually, which serve as the basis for senior management presentations to AXS executives and ownership group.
- Conduct GAAP research and prepare memorandums on technical topics. Develop discounted cash flow models for impairment analysis and liaise with valuation experts and auditors during their review.
- Oversee all financial planning, forecasting, and analysis functions for Global Shared Services business units, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and relevance of financial data.
- Ensure finance and accounting process standardization across all regions, including timelines, templates, and processes.
What Will You Bring?
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred) in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing a team.
- 5+ Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred).
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience working with multiple companies/legal entities and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- 6-8 years of demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and experience in the consolidation process.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Pay Scale: $164,068- $258,666
