Location: Draper, Utah
Primary Responsibilities:
Acts as a right-hand advisor to the company President to support decision-making and improve company performance.
Ensure financial integrity of the division in all aspects of reporting and the adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company accounting policies, preparation of annual business plans, and safeguarding of assets.
Collaborate with the President, Sales & Operations Teams, to develop price/absorption scenarios and ensure comprehensive feasibility and underwriting.
Utilize market intelligence to make data-driven recommendations for strategic investments.
Work closely with the President to establish accurate community-level pricing models.
Review community proformas to maximize profitability and pace, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Provide ongoing analytical support to identify margin and ROI enhancement opportunities.
Review monthly financial statements and address any discrepancies as needed.
Lead quarterly forecast processes and Annual Operating Plan budget processes.
Hire, train, and develop regional accounting team members.
Education & Experience:
Minimum 8 years of finance/accounting experience in a production home builder environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
