Description

• Permanent position for a VP of Engineering responsible for a team of software, hardware, acoustic, and system test engineers.
• Develop customer solutions for public address systems, intercoms, and telephone equipment.
• Define and implement the product roadmap with a firm understanding of the strategic elements of the commercial audio market.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to define the engineering roadmap for both software and hardware products.
• Ensure alignment of engineering objectives with the overall business strategy.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance both software and hardware development.
• Oversee the design, development, testing, and maintenance of integrated software and hardware solutions.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products that meet market and customer needs.
• Manage the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, including both software and hardware components.
• Provide technical guidance and support to both engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Oversee the resolution of technical issues and challenges across both software and hardware domains.
• Develop and manage the engineering budget.
• Allocate resources efficiently to meet project and business objectives.
• Act as a liaison between engineering and other departments.
• Interact with customers to address product issues and keep a finger on the pulse of evolving product needs in core markets.
• Implement and oversee quality assurance processes for both software and hardware.

Requirements

• BS Engineering.
• Advanced technical and managerial certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role.
• Extensive experience in both software and hardware product development and engineering management.
• Experience in the commercial audio or communications industry is preferred.
• Excellent strategic planning and project management abilities.
• Deep technical expertise and understanding of both software and hardware engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Agile software development methodology and hardware development processes.
• Ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in modern programming languages and development frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
• Expertise in hardware design, development, and testing, including knowledge of PCB design, embedded systems, and hardware-software integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
