Job Overview:
Are you passionate about shaping the future of education and early childhood development? Join our client as the Vice President of Education, where you'll play a pivotal role in leading education and child development programs—including Thrive to Five, Parents as Teachers, and First 10. You'll oversee program administration, fiscal management, and staffing, all while ensuring that our services nurture the mental, social, and emotional growth of young children, promote school readiness, and empower parents and caregivers through individualized support.
As a key leader in their organization, you'll be responsible for driving a vision of equitable, high-quality access to services for families, building strategic partnerships, and leading a team that fosters positive outcomes for the children and communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Vision & Culture:
- Champion a vision for high-quality, equitable services for children and families, aligned with the organization's mission and values.
- Cultivate an organizational culture that emphasizes communication, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Engage with families, staff, and community partners through site visits and organized events.
- Lead and mentor a dynamic team through coaching, feedback, and reflective supervision.
Program Leadership:
- Oversee education programming across the agency, ensuring compliance with grant management and budgetary guidelines.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on personnel matters and stay informed about federal, state, and local trends that may impact programs.
- Serve as a driving force behind innovative solutions that enhance programming and services.
Organization Alignment:
- Ensure that education initiatives align with the agency’s mission, strategy, and values.
- Engage in continuous improvement strategies alongside senior leadership to drive success across all programs.
Outreach & Partnership:
- Act as liaison to state and federal partners, representing the organization in coalitions and advocacy efforts.
- Conduct public speaking events and outreach to further visibility in the community.
- Respond to requests from funders, community members, and partners with agility and professionalism.
Strategy & Innovation:
- Lead strategic planning efforts for the education impact team, aligning them with broader organizational goals.
- Foster a culture of excellent customer service and innovative problem-solving, empowering staff to meet challenges with creativity.
Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and 7-10 years of experience in nonprofit, human services, or governmental program management.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Proven experience working with vulnerable families and navigating community services.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 or similar software.
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Education, Early Childhood, Social Work, Public Policy/Administration, or a related field.
- Expertise in early childhood development and supporting parents and caregivers through comprehensive services.

Salary: $80,000 plus the following benefits
