Opportunity Overview:
The VP of North American Channel Sales is responsible for growing and maintaining a high-performance regional sales organization that meets and exceeds business objectives. This person will leverage their skills as a top-producing salesperson and their natural leadership abilities to develop and lead an effective sales team. Additionally, they will support the strategic sales team by helping to develop the largest new accounts and personally closing significant opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales and a strategic mindset to drive growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed sales goals via effective North American territory management, including travel to various territories through the United States and Canada.
- Lead a team of 3 Sales Directors and 3-5 Strategic Account Managers by means of active coaching and development, while holding the team accountable and taking corrective action as needed.
- Oversee monthly goal setting and team-based review process.
- Demonstrate software solutions at the end-user level as well as the channel partner level.
- Drive the CRM process to manage the business and measure results.
- Conduct quarterly joint sales calls with team members (key targeted integrators, consultants, and significant end users).
- Manage key distribution accounts.
- Prepare sales forecasts on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Develop policies and procedures as they relate to the sales organization.
- Approve and document project price variances.
- Remove sales barriers for the outside sales organization by resolving customer issues professionally with corporate resources.
- Prepare for, and attend, key regional and national trade shows and vertical market shows.
- Perform all other duties/responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Requirements:
- BS Degree or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 8-10 years outside sales experience, preferably in a technology discipline
- 5 years Management Experience running teams of similar size
- Strong territory management skills
- Ability to travel overnight 50% of the time including some weekends
- Ability to work 50 – 60 hours per week
- Proficient in the Microsoft Suite - Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI
- Possess above average skills in Excel and CRM software
- Demonstrate a team-oriented mindset
- Possess corporate-level presentation and reporting abilities
- Technical aptitude
- Experience with IP Video technology including VMS software preferred
- Experience managing and developing system integration accounts in the IP Video market preferred
