VP Finance at Creative Financial Staffing

I am with an accounting/finance search firm in the area, and I am working with a company looking to hire a Vice President of Finance. In this role, there is great exposure, you'd be working with a dedicated team with excellent tenure, and they maintain work/life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cash and Treasury Management: Oversee the company's cash management, treasury functions, and marketable securities investments, ensuring optimal liquidity and investment returns.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax-related reporting and filings in coordination with the accounting department.
• Payroll and Benefits Administration: Oversee human resource payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Financial Analysis: Support the CFO in analyzing the performance of the real estate property portfolio, cash flow, and financing activities. Provide insights and recommendations to drive financial performance.
• Investment Support: Assist the President with evaluating and managing non-real estate investments, including those in technology and renewable energy sectors. Analyze potential investment opportunities and contribute to strategic decision-making.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the asset management and accounting teams to ensure alignment and effectiveness in managing financial operations and reporting.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years experience
• CPA or MBA a plus
• Experience in cash forecasting.
• Evaluating and reporting related to stock and bond investments.
• Understanding of partnership taxation.
• Experience with evaluating investment opportunities.
• Understanding of capital markets and interest rate environment on an investment portfolio.
• Significant financial analysis and modeling experience.
• Experience in commercial real estate.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Spanish is a plus.
