We are a rapidly growing FinTech company, currently in our Series B funding round, seeking an experienced and dynamic VP of Engineering to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid work model based in New York. We are at the cutting edge of the technology industry, using advanced AI, deep machine learning, and natural language processing to revolutionize the financial sector.
Responsibilities:
As the VP of Engineering, you will be expected to:
1. Lead, manage and scale our engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
2. Develop and implement strategic plans for technological development, aligning with the company's business goals.
3. Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our cutting-edge FinTech solutions.
4. Work closely with other executives to identify opportunities for technological advancements.
5. Ensure the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our systems and software.
6. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in AI, machine learning, and NLP.
7. Collaborate with the product team to ensure seamless integration of new features and improvements.
8. Establish and implement training programs for the engineering team.
9. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
10. Manage and optimize resources, including budgeting and timelines, to ensure project delivery.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role (VP of Engineering or Director of Engineering).
2. Proven experience in the technology industry, ideally within the FinTech sector.
3. Strong technical proficiency, particularly in Golang, TypeScript, and React.
4. Deep understanding of machine learning, deep machine learning, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing.
5. Experience in leading and managing a diverse team of engineers.
6. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
