About the Job
At Blackline, we are dedicated to leading the evolution in Corporate IT by harnessing the power of data to drive business success. As the VP of Data & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data-driven culture, leading our centralized data function, and ensuring that our data infrastructure, governance, machine learning (ML), and analytics capabilities are scalable, accurate, and actionable. You will be at the forefront of interfacing with data analysts across departments, including RevOps, Engineering, and Finance, and responsible for both internal and customer-facing data use cases.
You'll Get To::- Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive data strategy, encompassing data infrastructure, governance, ML, and analytics, to support Blackline's objectives.
- Guide the technical vision for developing an accurate, scalable, usable, and reliable data platform and infrastructure.
- Utilize a hub and spoke data team organization model to manage data functions effectively, creating strong partnerships with key departments such as RevOps and Finance.
- Establish governing principles for data access, accuracy, freshness, and other critical metrics across all data organizations within Blackline.
- Oversee the Data Engineering, ML, Data Science, and Data Analytics functions, fostering a culture of innovation, delivery, high performance, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Deliver actionable business insights to Corporate IT and other cross-functional leaders, influencing business strategy through data-driven decision-making.
- Build and maintain a diverse, equitable, inclusive culture, ensuring all team members feel valued and belong.
- Influence Go-to-market strategies and other business decisions through insightful data analysis and customer-centric approaches.
- Recruit, retain, and scale a world-class data team, championing excellence and innovation.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in data management, analytics, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading large-scale data initiatives.
- Strong expertise in building data warehouses, data lakes, ETL pipelines, and AI-based predictive models.
- Familiarity with the latest trends in generative AI and its applications in enhancing business analytics.
- Demonstrated leadership in developing and executing data strategies that align with business objectives.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results and improving data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Salary Range::USD $261,000.00 - USD $347,000.00
