Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the construction department in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
- Identify market trends, opportunities, and risks to inform construction strategy and decision-making.
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of construction operations.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
- Mitigate project risks and address issues that may arise during construction, ensuring timely resolution.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing construction team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the construction team.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Address stakeholder concerns and proactively manage expectations to maintain positive relationships.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure that construction projects meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards governing construction activities.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
