Responsibilities:This position is responsible for the deployment of a robust volunteer program at a specified facility or facilities. This role is responsible for recruitment, onboarding, coordination, training, screening, placement, scheduling, and evaluating performance of the volunteers. Develops and implements the policies, procedures, and programs of the volunteers within the hospital, assisting in patient, employee, and physician experience. Advises & consults with administration, department heads, supervisors, employees, and other Prime Healthcare facilities in all areas pertaining to volunteer recruitment, screening, placement, and scheduling. Recruits, trains, supervises, and dismisses volunteers as needed to meet the needs of designated facilities. Assists the Marketing Department in community outreach by representing the hospital at community events and recruiting volunteers for Marketing Events.
Qualifications:EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Required qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years working in healthcare setting with volunteer experience.
2. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school required, or equivalent years of experience.
3. Previous experience leading a volunteer program.
4. Aware of current policies and requirements in a healthcare volunteer program.
Preferred qualifications:
1. Demonstrated project management across multiple geographic locations including the use of Microsoft Business tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
2. 5 years leading a robust volunteer program within a healthcare setting.
