About the Job
Primary responsibilities:
• Will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and scheduling of junior volunteers
• Assist with weekly volunteer schedule and cover absences as they occur
• Register volunteers for orientation and annual education sessions
• Provide limited clerical support to pastoral care services
• Participate in volunteer recognition programs
• Provide clerical support for volunteer office
• Provides coverage to the hospitals Information Desk
• Provides direction, information and assistance to patients, visitors, vendors and sales representatives.
• Demonstrates courteous, polite, friendly and cooperative behavior towards patients, visitors and guests.
Other responsibilities:
• Handle incoming calls
• Operate office machines (computer, copy machine and fax)
• Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Access
• Other duties that need to be completed although not directly assigned
• Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
Special Qualifications:
• Able to walk, stand, bend and use stairs
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Ability to multi task
• Prioritize tasks and use time management skills
• Ability to change planned work day according to special projects as they occur
• Ability to work with large, diverse group of volunteers
