This position is part-time and will require approximately 20-25 hours per week.
Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Volunteer Scheduling: Coordinate volunteer schedules to ensure adequate coverage for events, programs, and community outreach efforts.
Database Management: Maintain and update our volunteer database, ensuring accurate records of volunteer profiles, availability, and hours contributed.
Volunteer Engagement: Communicate with current and prospective volunteers via phone, email, and in-person interactions to provide information, answer questions, and ensure a positive experience.
Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in recruiting new volunteers and guide them through the onboarding process, including training and orientation.
Program Support: Collaborate with staff to identify volunteer needs for specific programs and events.
Tracking and Reporting: Monitor volunteer participation and provide regular reports on volunteer activities and program impact.
Community Building: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all volunteers.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and tasks.
Proficiency in using computer systems, including databases, email platforms, and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
Excellent communication skills, including making phone calls and writing emails professionally.
Experience in volunteer coordination or a similar role is preferred.
A positive attitude and a passion for working with diverse groups of people.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
