Roze Room Hospice is seeking a full time Volunteer Coordinator to direct the Volunteer Programs throughout Southern California.
This is an office and field position.
Salary: $30/hr

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Volunteer Coordinator recruits, orients, trains andsupervises volunteers, coordinates their assignments and oversees theirperformance as part of the interdisciplinary team. The Volunteer Coordinator isresponsible for maintaining appropriate levels of volunteer services, complyingwith regulatory requirements and reporting to management.
The Volunteer Coordinator works cooperatively in coordination withthe hospice and palliative care teams to assess needs of patients and placementof volunteers. This position requires adesire to work directly with volunteers, clinical and administrative staff,patients and families. Must be able toutilize computers and be comfortable with electronic medical records. Must be able to meet with volunteers, staff, patientsand families in person and/or remotely. Must be willing to travel between several Southern California counties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in human services and/or public relations related fields.
- At least one year experience as a volunteer and preferably as a volunteer coordinator.
- Hospice experience and/or commitment to hospice philosophy
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to connect with volunteers, staff, patients, families and community.
- Valid driver's license, and auto insurance, reliable/well maintained transportation.
