This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 15/17/19.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor 1/2/3 you may carry a partial caseload, but the primary tasks of this position will be to provide in-house evaluation and assessment services. These services include but are not limited to administering and scoring standardized achievement, aptitude, interest, and value assessments. This position also leads workshops on skill development to help consumers with disabilities learn how to obtain and maintain competitive integrated employment.

This position is essential within the Division and progression through the counseling series is expected. As such, obtaining and/or maintaining a Certification of Rehabilitation Counseling (CRC) is required and supported by the Division. To be eligible for this certification, one must have a master's level rehabilitation counseling degree or similar master's level degree and be able to pass the CRC exam.
The Working Environment You Can Expect:
This position is located in Anchorage office with approximately 10 employees at any given time. Consumers are served directly out of this office. You will have a significant amount of autonomy in scheduling your day and managing your workflow. The Anchorage office operates during regular business hours (8am - 5pm), with flexibility within those hours and the ability for telework at times.
