There is a place for you at Highland Rivers Behavioral Health!Highland Rivers provides treatment and recovery services to individuals impacted by mental illness; substance use disorders and intellectual developmental disabilities.Highland Rivers is currently seeking a Vocational Specialist to serve in Cobb County.JOB SUMMARY: Assists individuals served to find and keep jobs in integrated work settings. The Vocation Specialist is open and willing to participate in and complete trainings related to employment and desires to see the individuals served succeed in finding employment or returning to school. The Vocational Specialist provides job, volunteer and educational support to individuals requiring the highest level of care within the agency. The ACT Vocational Specialist also assists the individuals served by accompanying them into the community for rapport building, to doctor appointments, etc. and will be a part of the on-call rotation.Are you ready to make a Difference?Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Participates in developing, managing, and maintaining a collaborative and cooperative service environment in the community at large
- Links Individuals with employment, volunteer, education, and other vocation related services.
- Provides resume building skills, interview skills, and role modeling
- Participate in all required training through the agency and DBHDD for role as Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist on the ACT team
- Assists with creating and updating all treatment plans, insurance authorizations, assessments, and any other documentation needed for the individuals served
- Responsible for keeping charts on caseload in compliance with the ASO, QI, CARF, DBHDD, HFR, and other accreditation standards
- Attends treatment team meetings four days per week as outlined in by fidelity
- Exhibits communication skills (oral, written and active listening)
- Participates in the on call/weekend rotation
- Transports individuals if needed.
