Location: Can be located anywhere, but will require travel.
Preferred CFO is an outsourced/fractional CFO firm providing premium finance, accounting and human resource assistance to growing and emerging companies.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic speaker to travel to Vistage speaking engagements. You will be responsible for giving presentations to potential clients and identifying and cultivating new business relationships with small businesses seeking expert financial guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel to give presentations in business and networking events including Vistage events.
Cultivate relationships with business owners and sell them on using PCFO's services.
Respond timely to requests for information and drive the leads to a close/conclusion.
Generate business from networking and prospecting.
Conduct initial consultations to understand clients' financial needs, challenges, and goals.
Present our fractional CFO services as tailored solutions to address clients' financial needs effectively.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market changes to refine your sales approach.
Create and utilize effective sales collateral, presentations, and proposals to showcase our services.
Lead negotiations, overcome objections, and close deals with prospective clients.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales pipeline using CRM tools.
Qualifications:
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a great public speaker and be effective making Vistage Presentations.
- Must be able to articulate ideas clearly, listen actively, and adapt the communication style to different audiences.
- Must be able to build and maintain relationships with prospective clients.
- Must be personable, empathetic, and able to connect with others to establish trust and rapport.
- Must have high ethical standards, including honesty and integrity. Undersell and overdeliver.
- A knowledge of business financial documents (accounting) is helpful, but not required. (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Must be self-motivated and self-managing. Must possess effective time management skills to prioritize tasks, focus on high-value activities, and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a remote (home) office.
- Must be able to flush-out objections and manage/overcome them.
- Must be Google office/tools proficient.
- Must be organized - Hubspot (CRM) experience helpful.
- Must be resilient and able to bounce back from setbacks, learn from failures, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with prospective clients.
- Willingness to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
