Our ideal candidate
The Virtual Direct Support Specialist works in a call center environment dedicated to meeting members' loan origination and deposit account needs. The position is responsible to support Virtual Bankers with loan applications pre and post funding. The Virtual Direct Support Specialist will act in a support role to ensure a fast and efficient loan process for every member. The role partners closely with other Member Care Center associates, Mortgage Loan Processors, and back-office support staff.
A typical day might include the following
- Process post funding Loan Protection Product (LPP) sales.
- Process loan fundings as necessary including mailing out loan proceed checks.
- Perform wires for fundings as needed
- Communicate with dealers, lien holders and members as necessary to assist with title perfection.
- Maintain knowledge of the Credit Union’s membership eligibility.
- Assist Virtual Bankers with administrative tasks associated with loan fundings
- Provide operation support when Virtual Regional Manager is out
- Pipeline management for Virtual Bankers
- Use electronic signature software to send and process loan and account documents for members.
- Perform required research to resolve escalated issues.
- Perform overrides for new memberships as needed.
- Perform funding duties for all consumer products excluding home equity lines of credit and loans as necessary.

Education
- H.S. Diploma Required
- Some college education Preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years similar or related experience customer service experience, preferably in a financial institution and/or call center environment Required.
- 1-3 years similar or related experience financial lending experience Required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to apply understanding when dealing with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – proficient writing ability and telephone etiquette.
- Online chat experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with office suite software (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel) High
