Videographer
Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a highly creative Videographer to join us in our Washington D.C. office. As the Videographer you are a vital part of the Campaign Communications Team. In this role, you will report to the Senior Videographer and are responsible for producing compelling video content that is consistent with the ADF brand to advance the mission of Alliance Defending Freedom. The person in this position will create social media content and help re-package that content to support ADF’s marketing, promotions, events, and fundraising teams.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
- Create meaningful, creative, cinematic video content that tells and promotes the stories of ADF.
- Collaborate with the videography team for in-office and offsite video shoots, providing lighting, audio, and cinematography support.
- Take the lead on assigned projects by creating interview questions and shot lists.
- Prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Set and adhere to a production and post-production schedule to meet deadlines.
- Work closely with the Visual Communications Director, Sr. Videographers, fellow Videographers, and internal stakeholders to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Maintain ongoing projects while developing contemporary video ideas that elevate ADF to new levels of creativity and message effectiveness.
- Consolidate interviews into concise story packages for social media.
- Scout shoot locations and assesses possible filming obstacles and provide creative solutions or alternatives for those obstacles.
- Organize and manage project media.
- Manage and maintain video equipment.
Other Responsibilities (Non-Essential):
- You will be asked to perform related duties or special projects as assigned.
Skills you need to succeed:
Demonstrated proficiency in:
- Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects.
- Color grading videos.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Cinematic camera and lighting work (experience with Canon, Sony, and DJI systems).
- Collaborative and willing to help a team in whatever capacity needed.
- Self-motivation, a sense of urgency, dedication to improving, and an exceptional ability to work well in diverse environments.
- Problem-solving, flexibility, and independent research skills.
Ability to:
- Must be able to travel a minimum of 25 days a year.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work long shoot days when filming on location.
- Must be able to work with and set up various 4K camera platforms, lighting, and audio equipment.
Education and/or experience:
- 3-5 years production and post-production experience.
- Animation/Motion Design experience a plus.
- Photography experience a plus.
